We are a family of five, Chris and Laura, who first met in Darwin in 2014 while serving in the Army. Our journey together has taken us all over Australia, and we now call Newcastle, NSW home, where we raise our three beautiful children: Arlo (6), Koa (4), and Lottie (2).

My lifelong passion for art and design has shaped my journey as a self-taught landscape photographer and both a watercolour and digital artist. Inspired by Australia’s breathtaking coastlines, rugged outback, and vibrant flora, I sought to create something unique that filled a gap I discovered while shopping for my children.

At Milky Designs, we craft pieces that inspire and nurture children’s imaginations, blending playful colours and shapes with a thoughtful, aesthetic touch that complements the home. As a small, family-run business, our days are filled with late nights, weekend work, and a mix of challenges and triumphs. But through it all, our excitement, passion, and dedication never waver. We are deeply grateful to all who have supported us with kind words, orders, and encouragement along the way.
